The Wise Writing Owl

Shew. . .I'm a little out of breath!  We have been working hard!
We have learned all about good and services, producers and consumers, factories. . .     Let me tell you, starting up a business with 2nd graders has been quite a job. :)  We had a meeting and discussed what kind of business would be best for us.  I was so proud of them when they decided that we should open a store that revolved around writing! (This means I just might be doing something right!!)
Well, I think the pictures can take over from here. . .look at how hard they've been working!
Our GRAND OPENING is this Friday morning!

I wish I had taken a picture of the letter they wrote to her asking for permisson to open a store!

This pic is a little blurry because, well. . .I have 2nd graders working with an iron!  Need I say more?!?!

Here is a sneak peek at some of our products! Drum roll, please. . .

Letter from Sarah. . .

We just finished reading our latest novel in class - Sarah, Plain and Tall.  I'm sure you have seen the booklet that we completed as we read through the story.  One of the writing pieces we worked on was a letter to Sarah, the main character in the book.  Well, Sarah wrote back to the kiddo's - just look at their faces!!  This is what makes it all worth the while!

After we talked about (and drew) what the molecules in a solid, liquid, and gas looked like ~ we demonstrated it!
