Making a Wind Sock. . .We are SOOOO Cool!
Yesterday we made a Wind Sock in science class. The students learned that WIND is the air that moves across the Earth's surface. A Wind Sock is a tool that provides visual clues as to which direction the wind is blowing. It is a simple but accurate weather instrument!

So Sweet!
As I was taking care of paper work this morning (ya know, taking attendance and stuff like that) I looked up to make sure that my sweet kiddo's were okay. Well, I had to take a picture - this is what I saw. Every one of them were doing exactly what they were suppose to do! They had already completed their DLR and were on the rug working on the Problem of the Day. This made my heart smile!!! I just love 'em!

SCIENCE! (Need I say more?)
Oh, how we LOVE a math challenge!
Okay, so this first picture was of the class taking a math quiz! ;) But once the quiz was complete. . .this is what you would have seen if you had walked into class. I decided to make this math challenge an individual competition. They did GREAT! Look how serious they all were! (I LOVE IT!)

Post Fall Break
It may be a rainy Monday after Fall Break, but we are working hard at it in class today! :) I was so happy to see smiling faces this morning. The kiddo's jumped right into math - we had a GREAT lesson on comparing two digit numbers using greater than, less than, and equal to. Next we took a look at our new spelling pattern. . .oh, you don't want a play by play! *wink, wink* Let's just say its been a very busy and productive day!
